Meet The Author

Linda Hepworth started waiting tables in high school, continued during her college years and never stopped. Known as The Jokester Waitress, she still works five nights a week serving family-style French cuisine at everyone’s favorite neighborhood eatery, Le Chalet Basque, in San Rafael, California. On Wednesdays, Linda can be found assisting her friend Angela Grant in her authentic Tudor Rose English Tea Room, in downtown Santa Rosa, California.

Her hobby and passion is swimming. When she’s not working, she’s strolling on her favorite beach or in the pool with her  Rolling Hills Mud Sharks Masters Swimming Team in Novato, California.

Linda Hepworth’s first volumes, If These Tables Could Talk and Turning the Tables, are compilations of short stories and memorable events describing her professional life in the restaurant business. Her latest effort, The Water Beckons: A Swimmer’s Story, describes how Linda returned to the water after a 40 year hiatus. Linda resides in Petaluma, California.
